What calletina loves about this:
"Be like me" is the most common thread I see in people up and down the path. Wouldn't that pinch diversity if it happened? I see that telling someone how to be or what to do does two things- eliminates their power to choose and prevents you from having the chance to see something that will help you to enforce how to be or how Not to be by their example. We are each a sum of experiences. Unless there is obvious certain harm, I practice a little acceptance and tolerance and let the people be who they are- I may suggest by saying "This has worked for me, maybe it will work for you." That leaves them empowered to choose. "May I ask why you do it that way?" will open up a set of experiences you may not have had and you may discover a better way of being in yourself. Sure beats hearing, "Don't do it that way, do it my way."
