Interesting. My first thought was menstrual blood, my second was the birth process as the currency paid, my third was the bond of the mother and the infant...primal love.
Hmm...hadn't thought of that - That's a really interesting take on it...but I already used the Alice Cooper quote, "Only Women Bleed", in my first novel...any event, thanks much for your comment.
