It is part of a very profound belief system which makes one think of the human body and human life as sacred, so that it is not abused or harmed in any way, but is respected and nurtured. Mata Amritanandamayi is saying that one need not be going to temples and /or other religious places to seek and worship God, since one can enshrine Him in ones' heart which can act as the temple, and then good thoughts can be in place of the offering of flowers, good words can substitute for hymns, good deeds instead of rituals, and finally, letting love be the offering to God. It would be very hard to express love of God in a better way than living this life in a good way --- for the common good of all beings.
