I like this one. It tells me that we spend so much time and expend so much energy trying to be something else, it is so relaxing and liberating being able to rest assured that our true selves is the best option.
So hard to relax with who we are though. Isn't that odd? It should be the easiest thing in the world! Seriously, though, why is it that we are always in pursuit of a self that is different than the self we are at this very moment?
That's true. This proverb can also mean that even in the most tense situations we can choose to immediatly react or we can choose to slow down, see a situation and then respond to it in a more grounded way.
