What seredipity loves about this:
with my life as it now is, i find it more and more difficult to maintain that inner peace.each morning i wake up at peace with mysef and the world but by midafternoon i find myself having lost it to the busyness of the day. surely it cannot be that hard to maintain a degree of peace and harmon in your soul despite circumstances?

The inner peace is never gone.  You just are looking in the wrong direction.  Rather than looking at the external circumstances, look within. 

And when that doesn't work, take a nap.  Naps are always a good thing.
