What sebastyne loves about this:
I've always liked people who don't try to hide their pride in what they do or are, as long as they are realistic in their abilities. I get annoyed only if I notice there's nothing really there that they see. I've noticed though, that a lot of people get annoyed simply if someone is proud of themselves - it might be just my neck of woods, but how about yours?

Honesty is the best policy with others or yourself be it pride or anything else.  The beautiful thing about hiding or faking what I am, is that I can't keep it under a lid for too long.  The real me always pops out to my joy or dismay.

I must say that I agree with all of you...for some reason the mention of humility touched me, I'm not sure why. Maybe because humility is so very very inspiring to me. But, yes, arrogance is annoying. Being proud is uplifting.

This is an interesting question. I don't dislike people who are proud of themselves. What I dislike are people who disrespect others and still say they are proud of themselves.

I think I am annoyed more at arrogance than pride.  The difference for me is if a person tries to laud their abilities or their intelligence over other people to get a step up in their own estimation or the esteem of others at the expense of people they consider less...

I must say that a lot of times I get more irritated by humility, genuine or not... Maybe because I have never met a person who would be genuinly humble. Humility is such an admired quality, that a lot of people tries to potray humility while they really aren't that hu...
