I'm a lifelong seeker and finder. The seeking never stops; neither does the finding. Currently, I feel overwhelmed by the challenge of reconciling -- or transcending -- the "thousand perspectives," by which I mean all the competing values that exist within myself, as well as the infinity of standpoints and mindsets that are prevalent in the world. I have been blessed many times with the Transcendent Insight. However, this has not been reflected in an integrated consciousness, a purified heart, or a dedicated life. The obsessions of the ego continue to write my script, even while a heavenly music is heard offstage. What I am describing may be nothing more (or less) than a stretch of the path that most seeker-finders must pass through on their way to Wholeness. Why should the pursuit of Perfection be any less agonizing and arduous than the attempt to become a great parent, a master musician, an Olympic athlete? All begin with a gift. The rest is the gift of ourselves.
