Most people defy thorough description, and I'm sure I am no exception; the parts we think to describe rarely add up to the whole, but here are the "parts" I can think of for now...

I enjoy getting to know other people (even though I've never found this easy!) I find it rewarding to learn from those with different perspectives than my own, even when it takes patience, time, and effort.

I notice and appreciate gentleness and kindness, and I always strive to show more of it myself. Among my favorite leisure activities are hiking, theater, and music (both listening and participating by singing or playing piano).

My analytical side thrives on logic, puzzles, and games, but I always return to the conclusion that full understanding of things goes far beyond logical analysis.

I enjoy traveling to new places, although ideally I wish I could stay in each place long enough to experience it the way its residents do, rather than only as a tourist passing through. Finally, I am fascinated by change, both how it comes about and how it affects people.
