There is pain, and hurt, and utter evil in the world. And every day I wake up to find that more has sprung up, here, there, in my neighbors house, in the hearts of my friends. It is heavy and consuming and overpowering.

But there is something else there, struggling weakly against the burden. A tiny flame of pure love that refuses to burn out, that grows more and more each day as I learn to feel pain as love, and fear as courage. In the end, love will win.

Until that day, I will continue to hurt and bleed and love for you. Because you are worth it, and so am I.
