"WISDOMOLOGY.COM RELEASES WEB 2.0 CHARITY TOOL”

– Users make moving testimonials about their personal experiences,
encourage donation to favorite causes. –

ASHEVILLE, NC (June 27, 2007) Wisdomology.com - the online wisdom sharing site - has created a way for people to share what inspires them about their favorite charities. The "Causes Tool" lets people create and publish their own multimedia Flash content about their cause, with a link to donate. Then anyone can jump in and join a discussion on the cause, mark it "inspiring", or send it to a friend as an ecard.

“Lauren and I are excited to give the Wisdomology community a new outlet to tell stories about what inspires them," said James McMahon, Co-founder and CEO of Wisdomology.com. "Charitable work is one of the most inspirational activities in many people’s lives, and now there’s a way to share your experience with kindred spirits online.”

While there are other sites which list charities, this tool enables people to share their personal, often emotional, stories about their experiences. It encourages people to go beyond the "what" - the information about the charity - and have a real discussion about the "why", connecting with the reasons the cause is meaningful to them.

“Charitable work has never been more important to so many people as it is today," said McMahon. "Our online community is filled with people reaching out to try to make a difference in this increasingly hectic world. We wanted to give them a place to share about the meaning, and real wisdom, this creates in their lives."

The company says it hopes that this rich emotional experience increases the visibility of, and donations to, the causes highlighted by members. “We felt it was important to include links to allow people to donate. Some of these entries can be very moving, with personal stories about the deepest parts of their lives. That emotion creates an ideal environment to get involved and donate. It’s harder to put it off when your eyes are moist.”
